Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Japan Business Development & Operations Manager to expand our presence in the Japanese market. This role is responsible for strategic business development, partnership management, and operational execution to attract Japanese students to study English in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have a b understanding of Japan’s educational and study-abroad market, excellent communication skills, and experience in sales, marketing, or operations.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies to increase Japanese student enrollment at HELP English Academy.
  • Identify, establish, and manage partnerships with Japanese agencies, universities, language schools, and other educational institutions.
  • Drive student recruitment through targeted marketing campaigns, networking, and business collaborations.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competitors, and opportunities in Japan’s study-abroad industry.
  • Represent HELP English Academy at education fairs, expos, and promotional events in Japan and online.

Operations & Client Support

  • Oversee end-to-end operations for Japanese students, including admissions, visa processing, and student support services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (admissions, student affairs, and academic staff) to ensure a smooth onboarding and study experience.
  • Provide consultation and assistance to prospective Japanese students and parents regarding course selection, accommodation, and study-life experience in the Philippines.
  • Address and resolve student concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and a positive study experience.
  • Collaborate with other managers in handling operations activities at HELP’s campuses.

Marketing & Branding

  • Develop localized marketing content, brochures, and digital campaigns tailored for the Japanese audience.
  • Manage social media and online presence in Japan, including platforms like LINE, Twitter, and blogs.
  • Create engaging promotions and referral programs to encourage word-of-mouth marketing.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and lead generation efforts.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Set revenue and student enrollment targets, tracking performance and optimizing strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare reports, analyze enrollment data, and propose actionable improvements.
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure proper invoicing, payments, and financial reconciliation for Japanese students.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or operations, preferably in the education or study-abroad industry.
  • b knowledge of Japan’s study-abroad market, education system, and student recruitment practices.
  • Fluent in Japanese (native or near-native proficiency) and English (business proficiency).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet targets.
  • Experience in digital marketing, social media, and branding for Japanese audiences is a plus.
  • Familiarity with visa processes, international student support, and Philippine education policies is an advantage.
