Student's Review - Tran Nhat Minh 8weeks ESL at HELP Longlong

What is life like at the Longlong campus?

My morning starts at 8:00 AM with my first class, IELTS Speaking Part 1 and 2 with Ms. Judy. Then, I proceed to my next class with Ms. Loida, focusing on English pronunciation, followed by a Writing Task 1 session with Ms. Zar. After morning classes, my friends and I head to the cafeteria on the fourth floor of HELP Longlong Campus, where we eat and chat. The afternoon begins with three consecutive classes: Writing Task 2, Listening, and Reading. Finally, I conclude my day with Speaking Part 3 with Ms. Arlyn and Daily Expression with Mr. Lester. After these classes, I have ample time to rest, dine, and refresh. At 7:00 PM, I start a self-study session, followed by a vocabulary test. Afterward, I relax until 10:00 PM, when I have another self-study session, ending my day. This routine repeats from Monday to Friday, while weekends are free for rest and exploring Baguio with friends.

How has the teachers' teaching ability impacted you?

After nearly a month here, I find the teaching at HELP Academy very comprehensible and easy to absorb. Many teachers are humorous, which removes pressure from grades and other concerns. They are always willing to explain concepts I don’t understand, using common vocabulary to help me. Studying here has significantly improved my skills in grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking, especially in my writing and pronunciation.

Attractions and places for students to enjoy life in Baguio and Longlong campus

On the first day here, you’ll experience the unique streets and transportation of Baguio and visit its largest mall, SM Mall. It was overwhelming with its size and crowd. At SM Mall, I discovered many unfamiliar foods, snacks, and noodles unavailable in Vietnam. Other attractions to try include the Night Market, Centermall, Yes Pho, and Botanical Garden Baguio, offering a glimpse of the cultural differences. HELP Longlong campus provides all necessary amenities, including an outdoor basketball court for relaxation and stress relief, and a convenience store for snacks and instant noodles during late nights.
