Step 2: Check Fees & Intake Schedule
Once you have chosen your course, you need to understand the financial planning and intake timelines. HELP English Academy maintains absolute transparency regarding all fees so that parents and students can prepare proactively.

Can I change my course or instructor after enrolling?
Yes. Students have the right to request a weekly teacher change if they find their methodology is not a good fit. For course modifications (e.g., from ESL to IELTS), you must submit an application to the Head Teacher during your first week. Changes are subject to your current entry level, and tuition fee differences will be recalculated based on the school's refund policy.
What if I fly to the Philippines on a date that does not align with the school's pick-up schedule?
The school encourages students to fly on designated dates to receive free, coordinated transportation. If you fly on a different date, you must travel to the campus independently and will not receive any refund for pick-up fees. Additionally, you must notify the school in advance to secure your room; an extra night-stay lodging fee of 1,000 to 1,500 PHP per night will apply depending on your room type.
Am I required to purchase a round-trip flight ticket?
Mandatory. This is a strict regulation from the Philippine Bureau of Immigration. You must present a return ticket or an onward ticket to a third country when checking in at your departure airport and upon clearing customs in the Philippines. Failure to produce this will result in denial of travel.
What are the terms of HELP's score guarantee policy?
For IELTS Guarantee courses, if a student does not achieve their target score despite fully complying with the academic rules (95% attendance, no disciplinary issues, completing all homework assignments), they will receive a 100% tuition waiver for subsequent re-training until they achieve the target. However, they must still cover dormitory, food, and local fees during the re-training period.
Can I register for courses if my passport is valid for less than 6 months?
No. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your intended date of departure from the Philippines. If your passport does not meet this condition, you must renew it immediately before purchasing flight tickets and registering for courses.
Can I pay all tuition and local fees in Vietnamese Dong (VND)?
Tuition and accommodation fees (listed on the Invoice) can be paid in VND via bank transfer to our partner agencies or authorized school accounts (based on the Vietcombank selling rate at the time of transaction). However, Local Fees must be paid in cash using Philippine Pesos (PHP) directly at the campus office upon arrival. We recommend exchanging currency before departure or bringing USD to exchange at the airport or local malls.
How are serious medical issues handled on campus?
The school features an on-site clinic with a duty nurse to handle minor ailments. For serious emergencies, a Student Manager will accompany you to the nearest hospital. Students are required to purchase international travel insurance before departure so that medical expenses can be processed under your insurance policy.
Am I allowed to go outside on weekday evenings or weekends?
At HELP campuses, students are not allowed to leave the campus from Monday to Friday. Outings are only permitted on weekends with a valid student ID.
Does the school offer customized diets (vegetarian, allergies)?
The campus dining hall serves a diverse range of dishes (Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Filipino). We always offer vegetable dishes and soup options for vegetarian students, but we cannot prepare custom, individualized meals. If you have severe, life-threatening food allergies (such as peanuts, shellfish, etc.), please notify your manager on day one so that precautions can be taken.
Can I bring and use cooking appliances in my dorm room?
Absolutely not. For fire safety and hazard prevention, cooking inside dormitory rooms is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in appliance confiscation and disciplinary fines. The school provides a shared pantry area equipped with hot water and microwaves for instant noodles or quick meals.
